“My childhood was small, but I’m gonna be big.”

That’s the punchy declaration Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. echoes defiantly throughout the chorus of their track “Big”. It’s that repetitive battle cry that we love — the idea that greatness can claw its way out of anywhere.

I’m Gonna Be Big joins the stylistic league of Spaceman Daydream as another Double IPA entry to our Hazy IPA series, inspired by our Springdale 2020 Playlist. I’m Gonna Be Big lives up to the name, clocking in at 8% and packed with Sultana and El Dorado hops.

The sky’s the limit. It’s what we believe when it comes to our beer and it’s where we turned for inspiration. We looked to the sky and thought, “Well, what’s bigger than that?”

As summer surrenders to autumn’s reign, the skies join the foliage in a color show, spilling shades of pink and purple over New England nights. We look up in awe of its expanse and think of the worlds beyond our own. How big, how beautiful! It’s that boundless beauty that inspires this can — the skies we look to as we dream of bigger, better.
